Happy New Year

Author's Note - Hi guys, hope you all had a great Christmas (I did) and I hope you have a great New Year. This isn't going to be very long..sorry. Read and Review! You know the drill.

"Holly! James! Hurry up! We have to get going!" Harry called at the bottom of the steps.
"Coming Dad!"
14 year old Holly and 6 year old James ran down the stairs. Hermione stood at the door, bundled up in her scarf, hat and gloves. The other two kids, Lily, 16, and Anna, 15 stood next to Hermione. Hermione had already performed warming spells on them, and rushed forward to perform warming spells on Holly and James.
"Come here, you two. Everlastotion Warmscio!" She said.
"Thanks Mom." Holly said.
"Come on now," Harry said, stepping forward with an old shoe. "Put your hand on it."
Everyone put their hand on it and with a sharp tug at their navel, they disappeared.

They landed on grass. When they turned around, bright lights nearly blinded them.
"Wow!" James cried and started to run towards it.
"Hey there little bugger. Slow down." Harry said, wrapping an arm around his waist so he didn't go far.
"Put me down!" He said stubbornly, flailing his legs. Harry tickled him and he calmed down.
"Let's go Harry." Hermione said behind him with a smile.
Hermione, taking James' hand, led him towards the bright lights, with Harry, Lily, Anna, and Holly following. Crowds emerged and a ball was hanging from the sky overtop of the numbers 2004.
"I'm hungry." James announced.
Luckily, Harry had been able to switch some wizard money for muggle money at the Ministry of Magic. He pulled out four dollars and handed it to each of the kids. "Go get a hot dog." He said.
Lily took James' hand and led him towards the food court as Harry wrapped his arms around Hermione's waist and nestled his head on her shoulder.
"See that ball?" He whispered in her ear.
"Yes." Hermione said with a giggle.
"When that hits 2004, I am going to kiss you senseless." He announced in her ear.
"Harry, you say that every year."
"Do I do it every year?"
"Yes." She confirmed with another giggle.
He kissed her neck and gazed at the ball.

Performances wen ton throughout the night by popular bands and singers. Finally it was 11:59 and the countdown began. James could hardly keep his eyes open by this time but awakened when the count down began, screaming the numbers.
The ball dropped and Harry did exactly what he promised.
He kissed her senseless.
