Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. If this is not obvious, check what reality you live in, and let me know.

Summary: The Sorting Hat is sick of having to sing in rhyming verse, so it looks for inspiration elsewhere.

A SORTING SONG IN HAIKU

Great place of Learning
For young witches and wizards
Our school is Hogwarts

Gryffindors Daring
They go out drinking one night
Then fight a dragon

As farmer to soil
Hufflepuffs are Hardworking
Loyal to their friends

Birds of a feather
Ravenclaw values wisdom
Knowledge and learning

Like Strangler Vines
Slytherin is for the sly
Prizing Ambition

Teachers and classes
The Founders created me
Sorting the Students

A/N: For those who don't know, Haiku is a Japanese form of Poetry. An easy way to remember is "Five, Seven then Five/ Syllables make a Haiku/Thank you very much." Probably not the best I've ever written, and came about purely because a friend said I couldn't.

Thanks for reading anyway
