Prompt: Ditzy
She was nearly thirty years old and never in her life had she been described as ditzy. She'd never considered herself to be a genius. School had gone okay for her, well enough to get through four years of college at a decent school. Being a detective was something she always wanted and her education was a step towards that goal, nothing more, nothing less.
She was good at her job, though, sometimes she even considered herself great. She put everything she had into it and she considered it a privilege and a responsibility to serve the great city of New York.
There was no room for being a ditz on the job; unfortunately, she couldn't seem to help it when Sheldon Hawkes was around.
He was just so smart, so strong and good and…moral. He looked at a person when he talked to them and he respected every single human, animal, and hell even plant on earth.
He was gorgeous and sexy in that studious way and when he smiled at her she usually dropped her note pad or fumbled her coffee or just stared like a moron.
She became a ditz and she was starting to fear that being a ditz was how she acted when she fell in love.
And that was scarier than any criminal Detective Jess Angell had ever faced.
