God Help the Outcasts
Disclaimer: Disney owns the song, eA owns MySims, and I own Grace & Plot.
I love the chara Esmeralda from The HunchBack, and this song.. So being the Christian girl I am, I wrote a songfic!
Summary: When her life seems hopeless, Grace turns to the only ones who will listen.. God & Jesus..
The group of kids were laughing at the boy who for once, didn't get up and fight back. He was clinching his teeth as he held his head down at the ground, prventing tears from falling.
"Leave him alone!" His friends were quick to come to his rescue. The short one put her hands on her hips, her eyes red with anger, matching her hair.
"Or else what?" The other girl spat in her face.
"The wrath of God will punish you, for tormenting him! He did nothing to you!" The other girl spoke up.
"Why should we?"
"You don't know what he goes through! Leave him alone!" The third, and final friend, stood his ground.
"You're just a bunch of freaks! A bunch of outcasts!" The trio left the crying boy on his knees and the friends speechless.
Father Davis comforted her, but she wouldn't look at him, "Why can't they leave us alone?"
"No one knows, my child. God's intentions are strange."
"You saw what they did to my friend! I thought if just one person could stand up to them!" She hid her anger, "What do they have against people, different then them?"
"I do not know, child." He sighed.
"Well, no one out THERE is going to help." She pouted slightly.
"But perhaps someone in here can." He left her to her thoughts.
Grace stood by the column looking back at the door, the day replaying in her head. Morcubus and his cronies refused to leave Chaz, Summer, Travis, and herself alone, until they had broken down all of them. Chaz was the first to crack with his homelife, Summer had almost cracked, but one final push did it, only she and Travis had yet to be broken. She turned her head to look at the various people praying to God.
Grace turned to look at a statue of Mary holding baby Jesus.
I don't know if you can hear me
Or if you're even there
I don't know if you would listen
To a gypsy's prayer (A/N: In Kingdom, Grace is a gypsy.. Besides the lyrics work this way.)
She walked over to the statue and looked up at Baby Jesus.
Yes I know I'm just an outcast
I shouldn't speak to you
Still I see your face and wonder
Were you once an outcast too?
She walked through the church still singing her poor soul out.
God help the outcasts
Hungry from birth
Show them the mercy they don't find on earth
God help my people
They look to you still
God help the outcasts
Or nobody will.
Congretional joined in, just telling God what they were asking for.
I ask for wealth
I ask for fame
I ask for glory to shine on my name
I ask for love I can posess
I ask for God and His angels to bless me
Grace was beginning to walk towards the center of the church, where the stained glass window was.
I ask for nothing
I can get by
But I know so many
Less lucky than I
Please help my people
She walked in the sunlight caused by the stained glass.
I thought we all were
The children of God
God help the outcasts
Children of
God
Just thought I could do something with my religious beliefs in it..
