*InuYasha*

-The Quest for Cake-

In a remote village surrounded by mountains, village people wear rustic feudal era clothes.

Villagers-(running terrified) it's InuYasha!!

InuYasha jumps into the sky while trapped in a net. He slashes it with ferocity and ease, freeing himself instantly. Grappling hooks are shot at him in vain by the village men, but he dodges them easily. InuYasha races inside a temple to where he grins evilly and looks at a necklace with a shining golden cake strung at the end. The cake is about the size of a ping-pong ball and fits easily into InuYashas large hands. InuYasha grabs the cake and escapes through the roof as a hailstorm of arrows and spears rush at him.

Inu- that'll teach you! With this in my possession ….. I can become a full blooded demon. (Looks intently at the cake)... what the? ….. a cake?....meh whatever.

Priestess- (drawing an arrow)InuYasha!

InuYasha turns back while running, and the arrow hits him in the chest, short of his heart but still pinning him to a tree behind him. The cake falls from his grasp and the priestess glances at it then stares at InuYasha determinedly.

Inu- (weakly)ki…kikyo…! Why you… I thought! .... (Raises hand and struggles for a while, then becomes unconscious.)

Kikyo sinks to her knees weakly, showing a trail of blood behind her. A little girl , with an eye patch on rushes to her side.

Little girl- sister!

Villager 1- lady kikyo, she's badly wounded.

Little girl- sister, how did you get hurt?

Kik- (struggling) my cowardliness…..has resulted in this (picks up the cake) and all for this….. Golden cake of four fruits. Winces in pain)

Little girl- (supporting Kikyo)sister, we must tend to your injuries.

Kik- I am beyond saving. So listen to me, kaede. Take this sacred cake…and burn it with my body. It must not fall into the hands of evil-doers. (Clenches cake in fist tightly and falls onto her side.)

Little girl- sister! (Yelling) sister!!

Kikyo surrounded in flames, holding the cake In a prayer-like stance with her eyes closed

Kik- (voice over) the sacred golden cake… I will take it within me to the next world.

Kikyo is finally absorbed by the flames.
