This was banging about in my head, so I decided to write it. There's a few more parts if they're wanted – please review after you read!
"Sinéad Hayes?" Sandra asked the ridiculously skinny blonde schoolgirl standing by the gate.
The girl looked up and nodded, "That's me." She answered in a strong Irish accent
"Detective Superintendent Pullman, this is Brian Lane, we're from the Metropolitan Police's Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad." Sandra flashed her police ID.
Sinéad raised her eyebrows, "UCOCS?" she suppressed a grin.
Sandra had to stop herself laughing – they were quite stupid initials, if she was honest. "Can we talk?" she asked
"Yeah, what about?"
"Tina-Anne White – she was a friend of yours, correct?"
Sinéad's face seemed to fall slightly at hearing the name, then she nodded, "Not a day goes by I don't miss my Tina. She never killed herself. I know she didn't."
"How do you know?" Brian questioned
"Because I knew Tina. She was so happy. So beautiful. She had a perfect life up until she was murdered."
"Look, we're reinvestigating her death; we think there could be a possible suspect." Sandra announced.
"Who is it?" Sinéad bit her lip as her eyes filled with something that wasn't quite pain, but it wasn't quite anything else either.
"Robert Bradford." Sandra replied
"He's a pervert."
"You know that because...?"
"He used to wait outside the school gates in his van. It's an all-girls school so there were plenty of our tops to look down. He always watched me and Tine when we came out at the end of the day. We were only thirteen... we didn't think he could do us any harm, you know? He liked Tina most – she had this wonderful red hair. One of those people who looked effortlessly gorgeous."
Sandra nodded, "Do you think you could come down to the station and do an interview on record for us?"
"I'll do anything in the world to find who killed Tina." Sinéad answered "Anything."
"Right, I'll just have a word with my colleague and I'll take you down. Wait by my car – it's the blue Saab."
As Sinéad went off towards Sandra's car, Sandra began discussing with Brian.
"She can help us. I know she can – a girl confides everything in her one special friend, and Sinéad and Tina were like this." Sandra showed Brian her fingers crossed.
"She's bloody skinny, isn't she?" Brian suddenly said
"She's an anorexic, Brian!"
"Why though?"
Sandra shook her head, "Look, some people, when they lose someone so close, they find anorexia is the only way to cope. It's like the only thing they can control."
Brian frowned, and Sandra realised that the finer points of eating disorders and diets were lost on him. She sighed, smiling slightly.
"Right, let's get her to the station."
**I don't own New Tricks and don't endorse anorexia or any other form of eating disorder just to say!**
