Summary: In her first life, she read a story about a girl who was brave and stubborn and here she is in that girl's place and she feels anything but brave. And she sees it with her mismatched eyes and shark like teeth. Maybe they were right she is a freak, after all her parents are Karin and Suigestu, the freaks of the Narutoverse.
A/N: Yay! I'm back and with a new story! As usual there's a new story inspired by my crazy classmate! Kraykid2, Both of us are co-writing this story and as usual a lot of emotional turmoil (I just love drama!)
Enjoy?
"kaa-san, am I a freak?"
Karin looked up from her desk as she stared at her five-year-old daughter scribbling on a desk beside her, letting out a prolonged sigh, she dropped the booklet on her desk, twisting to face her daughter's question.
"Who told you that sweetie?" She asked as gently as she muster, putting her hands on her lap, forming a cross with her hands on top of each other.
Her daughter curious gaze faded as she looked down to her feet finding them more interesting than the current conversation.
Karin shook her head as she wondered how on earth, she and Suigestu managed to give birth to such a quiet and calm child. Karin expected her blunt behaviour and Suigestu sharp remarks to rub off on the child but fortunately she was as an innocent as an Angel. Honestly, Karin expected her to be wild, rambunctious and especially troublesome.
It was the opposite.
A sound soon gestured Karin out of her thoughts as she looked down to see her daughter, bent down her hood covering her face. A small sob soon escaped from the child's lips as she covered her face with her tiny palms and cried out, blubbering out everything the poor girl had experienced from her school.
All Karin could do was to pat her back soothingly and let the child cry out what she wanted to say, she would feel better afterwards. A while later, the child's cries soon became forgotten as Mihoa soon found herself in her mother's lap fiddling with the loose strands of her mum's hair.
"Kaa-san,"
"hmm," answered Karin absently as she thumbed through the booklet through the previously dropped not minding her daughter's tone of voice or the wariness of her calling.
"Is my teeth weird?" She asked her kaa-san, her voice shaking and smaller than usual.
Karin sighed again as Mihoa tilted her head, her red hair swishing alongside with her, confused on her mother's reaction to her question. The little child expected her mother to inquire more on the question but was beyond bewildered when she felt her chin being lifted up.
"Honey" Karin lifted her daughter's chin and looked deep into Mihoa's mismatched red and purple eyes and grinned.
"No matter what others say, you are not a freak."
Mihoa eyes widened as large as saucepans as her frown soon turned upright and she grinned, showing off her sharp pointy teeth in rows.
Mihoa brightened up as she skipped to the door, her red frizzy hair defying gravity as usual "I'm going to look for tou-san!" She announced cheerily as she left her mother gaping at her peculiar mood shift and grinning to herself, she turned back to previous activity, giggling to herself, she said to herself silently;
"She has her my smile."
