I don't own SnK
Jean leapt from his place on the roof and drew his blade, aiming for the titan's neck. He came down with extreme strength slicing into the flesh with expertise. There, One down, one more to- He froze, something wasn't right. Hesitantly jean looked back to the titan he had just killed, except he wasn't there. In the place of where a rather large and dead body should have been laying stood an unphased and famished looking titan. It took him far longer than it should have to register what had happened. He missed… He had missed its neck and had instead cut a long gash along the back underside of its head.
He prepared to turn himself around to complete the kill. It was quick, the force of the titans hand was so strong. Jean went flying backwards, hitting the wall with a sickening and bloody crunching sound. He fell to the floor and laid there, face in the dirt. He moved to get up but was halted by a shooting pain up his back. He tried desperately to move his legs but realized he was numb below his waist. He couldn't feel his legs…why couldn't he feel his legs…
Slowly the titan made its way overt to his limp form. He could hear others screaming, but he couldn't recognize the voices well enough, his ears were ringing with extreme discomfort. He tried to remain calm while his friends came to save him, but burst into a frenzy of pleads and screeches as the titan scooped him up. It hurt to be held, his entire lower half hung limply, and his spine stung with a pain so intense that it shot up his neck from so much as a breathe. The screaming grew louder and more frantic, and then eventually he could hear nothing but his own name being chanted over and over again.
He would have screamed when the titan bit down on his legs if he were able to feel them. His screaming ceased and he grew deathly pale.
It…was…eating him…
He was going to die here and now and no one could save him. Never in his life would he think that he would thank god for paralyzing him.
"Jean! Jean No! We have to save him!"
"Someone help him please!"
"Kill it!"
"No stop! He's a dead man already!"
"Please No! We have to save him!"
The titan pushed Jean further into its mouth, and he felt its teeth on the back of his neck.
"No! Jean!"
"God someone help him!"
"He's dead don't go!"
"Jean! Jean!"
"JEAN!"
Jean focused on the teeth for just a moment before squeezing his eyes shut, letting a few tears slip free.
"Jean…"
He opened his eyes, and everything was gone… Jean sat up and looked around himself in awe. The titan and his comrades were gone…instead he was seated in the center of a large field of daisies and sun bathed grass. The pain was gone too and he looked down at his legs, only to find that not only were they fully intact…but also fully functional.
" "
He turned towards the voice. But was greeted with a blindingly bright light. Carefully he crawled towards it, until the cause of the glow was clearly seen. It was a person. He reached his hand out hesitantly and touched the tan freckled shoulder.
"Marco?"
Marco turned his head and smiled sadly at him, tears pooling in the corners of his eyes.
"Are you ready to go to the mainland Jean?..."
