Everyone always calls her a liar. She doesn't get it. Of course she's a liar, but how the hell does that make her any different from anyone else?
People're all pretty much the same, whether it's out here in the black or sitting in some nice cushy Alliance home, tucked away from the world. People lie and cheat and steal, and isn't that what makes them human? Animals are honest about what they are. Humans try to dress themselves up prettier than they could ever hope to really be, try to deceive the world in the hope that it'll somehow make them better.
People are pretty damn pathetic, if you ask her. At least she doesn't try to tell herself she's something that she's not. She just tells other people, and it's not as if she's the only one.
And the thing is, it's not as if people don't want to be lied to. Everybody does. No one wants a beautiful woman to come up to them and say, hey, I'm a con artist and I'd like all your money, if it's not too much trouble. Please. People want a beautiful woman to tap them on the shoulder and ask them to dance, real polite and sweet, and they want to fall in love with her. And is that really so bad? They'd fall in love with someone else anyway, and it's not as if they'd be any better.
Don't even get her started on love. Stupidest idea in all of history, and yet you're a cynic not to believe in it. Yeah, and she's the liar.
The way she sees it, she's the most honest person out there. She doesn't claim to be an angel, she just does what she has to so that she can get by. Not her fault no one else sees it that way. She doesn't need anyone else's approval, and sometimes, she thinks she's the only person who doesn't.
