Epilogue

Chase woke suddenly becoming aware of the cold water. remembering and awareness flooded through her and she bolted up right. She coughed a few times clearing the water from her mouth and lungs, "what the fuck" she spluttered

Calming herself down she looked around at her world, coloured lights filled the expansive room with a soft hue of pinks and blue reflecting off the cold mismatch of steel bit and pieces.

A memory slowly soaked into her consciousness a man holding the face of a small girl, cupped in his hand

"Listen child, I I'm sending you away, it's not safe here any more, do you understand?"

"Yes sir" the child replied

"I'm sending you to a place where you should be safe for all time, somewhere where you will find all the help you need" he said pushing the girls perfect brown curl just a little so the light revealed a deep auburn "Just remember chase my precious gem, that you are a time lord and with that comes responsibility, you will see things beyond you wildest dreams, but you must not fall to the temptation to change things, because some things simply must be"

"How will I know what has to be?" the child asked innocently to young to understand the true responsiblity placed upon her shoulder

"You will know with time, you will see what can be changed, what can't and what should never be, for this is the curse and the gift of a time lord"

"Will I see you again papa" she asked as the aged man plucked her off the ground and lay her down in a shiny metal capsule

"That all depends" he replied his ace girm

"On what?"

"On a choice that has to be made by someone, even we can't see the result. But you must understand my child, the choice is critical, he must do what must be done to save the everything and everyone. But what ever happens he will be there in the end, and I want you to look for him chase, you must find the doctor."

"Okay papa"

"I love you …"

"With all the love …"

"In the sky" the sung together

Then he kissed the child softy on the head and closed the glass lid of the capsual and the memory ended. All her memories stopped there as if time its self had stopped.

Chase walked bare footed and naked over the metal grilled flooring and up a set of stairs she knew from that time before to a platform decorated with flows pink silk netting softening the cold steel and conforming with the coloured hue cast by the machineries lights.

She cautiously approached the reflective surface hanging above the wooden ornate dresser but the face she saw wasn't one she knew it was older, fuller, her wet hair only giving the slightest hint of the brown curls that once sat upon her head.

Her eyes, the only part of her that remained the same, studied her body in the mirror she was no longer a small child, she was a young women.

With her new lips she spoke 2 words, "the doctor". Even her voice was different, who was she?
