"Here we are." I barely noticed Carlisle's voice as we pulled into the drive and saw the house – our house – for the first time in months. It seemed so long ago. One would think a vampire as old as I am would hardly register a few months, but there was something about this place…it felt right somehow. Emmett and Rosalie had already arrived only seconds before we did. In a blur no human could have seen, Emmett ran to the door to be first into the house.

I stepped out of the car and took a deep breath of the familiar humid air. I turned around to see Alice pulling our suitcases out of the trunk. I smiled and took a few of them from her. I left most of the bags in Alice's room, except for the one containing my books and notes, which I took to my study. Then I went back downstairs to find everyone, except Edward, in the living room. I knew Edward was at Bella's house. After everything they had been through in the past months, he couldn't bear to spend another moment away from her.

I could feel mixed emotions coming from my family, but everyone felt some form of contentment, happiness, or excitement.

Carlisle smiled, his eyes sparkling, as he moved closer to Esme, who was already chattering away to him about how she wanted to redecorate the living room, and wrapped his arm around her waist.

Emmett was sprawled on the couch, his arms around Rosalie, who was leaning on his chest. He smiled and kissed her. Rosalie was still pretending to be indifferent to the situation to cover up the guilt she felt, but despite that, I could tell she was happy to be back in Forks.

Alice had come back down now and was standing at the foot of the stairs. I walked over and took her hand. I smiled at her, and she smiled back brightly, her beautiful eyes dancing with unheard laughter. It had been months since I had seen her, or any of us for that matter, this happy. And then I knew it. We were home.

I have no intention of taking full credit for this story. It would not be here without the help of Ronsgurl92. I wrote the first draft, then she revamped it, no pun intended. Thank you Ronsgurl! I honestly cannot thank you enough.
