You may not understand

You may disagree

You may be angry

You may hate me for what I've done.

I did what I did for you

It's my job to save you

I have to protect you

It's my duty to keep you alive.

Brother,

I know that in a year, you'll think that I was an idiot

You'll be regretful that I'm dead and you're alive

But, I hope that someday you'll forgive me.

Ever since I pulled you out of a burning building

I've felt that your life was in my hands

And I screwed up and let it

Slip away.

Brother,

I've done what I can to protect all these years

And now I've done what I can to keep you alive

Don't be angry, please

Try to understand

My life is you.

Brother,

I want you to know that I've done everything I can to save you

So watch out for yourself when I'm gone

Don't waste what I've given you.
