During a mission in Cairo, Jenifer Shepherd had met a youg Israeli woman called Ziva. A chance meeting had turned into much more as they got to know each other. They had four amazing weeks together before Jen had to go back to America while Ziva was required to return to Tel Aviv, Israel.
They were both stood at the airport terminal, neither wanting to leave the other. Ziva's flight was first and then Jen would have to wait on her own for an hour before she could catch her flight to DC.
Ziva sighed heavily, "I do not want to leave you" she said with deep sorrow within the depths of her deep brown eyes.
Jenny kissed her lover softly upon the lips, "Forever isn't over Zee, we'll see each other again soon I promise! she said gently as she held Ziva close.
The Mossad officer nodded with a hopeful smile, "How about I try and transfer to NCIS? That way I can wake up to your beautiful face every morning"
Her flight was called, as Jen said, "That sounds good to me Zee, You better go ... I love you" she said with tear filled green eyes.
She looked into the sparkling emerald eyes that she had come to love and kissed the red headed woman passionately before having to board her flight. She wanted nothing else but to be able to run back to her lover and never leave her side.
This was the day that Ziva became a liasion officer for NCIS and Mossad. This was the day she returned to the arms of her lover. Ziva stepped off the plane and her way to the gate when she was met by Jenifer Shepherd. Their arms held each other closer than ever, as Jen said, "I missed you Zee" with a soft kiss.
Ziva smiled, her hair tied back into a ponytail, "I missed you too Jen" she said happily, holding her lovers hand as they went through to customs. Jenifer Sheperd flashed her credentials and they were fast tracked immediately. Ziva smiled and whispered to her lover, "Being the director has its advantages, yes?"
Jen grinned and nodded, "You know it" she said simply, as she had been the one to organize for her lover to come to DC to work at the Navy base with her.
Later on Jenny was stood on the balcony overwatching the NCIS team, or more importantly watching her lover. Jethro moved to stand next to her, "She tried to kill us all today, have you seen her driving Jen?" he said sipping at his strong coffee.
Jenifer smiled and nodded, "Of course I have Jethro"
Gibbs nodded, "So when was you going to tell me ?"
Director Shepherd raised an eyebrow at him, as she asked, "Tell you what Jethro?"
The silver haired man glanced at her, "You know what Jen, don't play dumb with me I know you remember" he said as he watched the bullpen with his ex-lover.
She looked over at him, "It isn't any of your business Jethro" she said with a hint of anger in her usually soft voice.
Gibbs glared at her, "Putting another agent on my team IS my business Jen, or did you forget that?" he said very unimpressed by her statement, "That is unless you meant your relationship with her?" he said with a massive grin on his face. He rather liked the idea of his ex-fiancee with a knife throwing, kidon trained Israeli who he himself rather liked the look of too.
Jen rolled her eyes, "How did you...?" she asked before being cut off by Gibbs who said, "I know you Jen" he said simply.
Ziva looked up at the balcony and smiled at her red headed lover, she was happy to be back with Jen.
Looking into each others eyes, they both thought simultaneously, Forever isn't over.
