* Another poem! I'm in an odd "I want to write a poem just for the hell of it." mood as I type this. That's why I wrote this poem. Strange reason, but it's true. And also 'cause someone asked for it. Thank you!
I know that not much people have seen the movie yet, but I don't see this poem as a huge spoiler. It's Hitomi's point of view while being with Van in the movie. Hope you enjoy it and give me some feed back! I know I enjoyed writing it! ^_^
I see a field; so lush and green
We ran to the top. The village can be seen
'Why are you so sad?' I yearn to ask.
You look away. Your face a distant mask
In the distance, the children sing
Their voices don't comfort what I am feeling
'When do I have to leave?' I became sad
Silence again. Gone was what we could've had
Because Destiny does not permit it
We see the sun; orange and dim
A voice screams, 'Why do I have to leave him?'
'...En dragu a se lain...' A song replies
Feelings inside; they gave me no lies
My heart knows; now I see it
'Troubles have an end,' my feelings show
Hand in hand; we'll be together. This I know
'We will seek together destiny' I say to you
No matter the distance, I'll be with you
I will not say 'Good bye'
Because now, I will not die
I fly away. Am I on my own?
No! Because where ever I'll be,
I'll see you here--with me
Because you're not alone
Poet's Notes: This was inspired by my favourite Escaflowne movie songs, Ring (Yubiwa), Vector and I'll Be There sung by Maaya Sakamoto and Shanti Snyder. As you might've guessed, this has some parts of the song I'll Be There in it. I just thought it would suit. I guess you can say this is my own version of the song. Anyway, this is the second poem that I've ever written that someone actually sees, so I'm not an experienced poet. Anyway, don't forget to Read and Review ^_^!
