The sun was shining, making the green grass shimmer in the woods. Ninian walked softly through the bright vibrent woods, as though she would hurt the small blades of grass if she walked any harder. but Ninian didn't pay much mind to her surroundings as there was to much on her mind to let any other thoughts slip through.
It was a little event that had happened earlier in the day. During a battle which everyone agreed afterward that they were lucky to have Jess doing the battle planing as it was one of their toughest battles.
Sure there were a few injuries during the battle but those few injuries were just small scratches. sometime during the fight Eliwood had gotten grazed with a poisoned lance at first nobody really noticed and Eliwood not wanting to be a burden didn't say anything until it was almost to late.
Shaking the rest of the events that followed from her mind Ninian sat down. her legs tired from the amount of dancing she had done during the fight.
Leaning back against the tree, Ninian closed her eyes as she thought about the handsome red haired lord who was now laying in his tent barely able to comprehand where he was or what happened.
"Ninian?" A voice said, snapping her from her thoughts.
Looking up Ninian was surprised to see a very pale and shakey Eliwood standing over her, his hand clutched tightly around his chest.
"Lord Eliwood, shouldn't you be in bed?" She asked, her voice shaking with concern.
"Nah, I was worried about you. Hector told me you left a while ago and I came to find you" Eliwood coughed.
"You needn't worry about me Lord Eliwood" Ninian replied, turning away so Eliwood couldn't see the look of sorrow in her eyes.
"Ninian do you mind if I lay down for a second?" Eliwood asked, nearly staggering over when a wave of dizziness washed over him.
Ninian was about to reply, when Eliwood dropped to his knees, then proceeded to lay down. Resting his head on her lap, his arm still clutched across his stomach.
"Sorry Ninian, I just need a moment to lay down" Eliwood said.
A light smile curved Ninian's lips as she brushed a peice of hair from Eliwood's face.
"I don't mind Lord Eliwood" Ninian replied.
Eliwood was soon asleep as the sun sparkled around them, making Ninian forget all about the dark secrets she had been keeping and for once allowing her to notice the surroundings around her.
