A/N Please leave a review, I really want to see what everyone thinks! Thanks ya'll, and happy reading!
"Hold on to me!" Peter ordered, plunging his sword into the ice of the river. I hold my breath as the waterfall comes crashing down, and we fly through the water. It's thrilling, but frightening, as so many adventures are. Peter is clutching my coat, but it's about to come off. I try to warn him, but as I open my mouth, a large wave comes toward us, and engulfes us. I slip into the water. I'm sure Peter is unaware that I am gone. I'm frightened, but I don't have time to think about it, as the water churns about me, and I try to stay above it. It's no use. Soon I am under the water, knowing that I might not live to see my siblings ever again. My lungs are burning, and I inhale foam as I try to take a breath. Where are Peter and Susan? That is my last conscious thought as everything turns black.
I wake up on the river bank what feels like hours later, but I honestly have no idea. Praise Aslan that I'm alive and safe! I thought I was surely going to die. I struggle to get to my feet, but I have no strength left. Finally, I work up enough energy to stand, the world swirling before my eyes. "Peter? Susan?" In my confused state, I think I even call for Edmund. It's no use, there's no answer from anyone in my family. "Aslan, please help me." Just then, the trees in the grove begin to part, and the great Lion himself stands in the center, smiling at me kindly. I'm quite scared, but I know he can help. "Aslan, I can't find my family. What if they've drowned? What if I never see them again?" Aslan continues to smile at me, saying, "Fear not, Dear One, for they are before your eyes." I hear a noise in the grove, and my head snaps around to look, as I sit up. I was asleep? As I think this, I see the trees moves back into place slightly, and I know I wasn't dreaming. I feel a warm breath on my neck, and I can feel my strength returning gradually. When I turn around to look, no one's there. "Thank you, Aslan" I whisper. At that second, I hear Susan's panicked voice screaming, "Lucy! LUCY!" I stand up and walk
toward the sound of her voice. She sounds pretty near hysterics, I realize, and I quicken my step. I find them and move into the clearing, "Has anyone seen my coat?" It's funny, I just now realized how chilly it is. Susan and Peter race towards me and hug me, and pretty soon we're all crying. I will tell them about my encounter another time.
