Listen to the eagle's cry
As he draws nearer still
Listen to the chained man sigh
Trapped against his will
The landing of the eagle
Makes the chained man shiver
As the noble bird so regal
Tears away his liver
He was felled by fire
Which he gave to Man
A deed that raised the ire
Of the gods that rule the land
Day after day the eagle comes
Unsympathetic to his plight
And chained to the rock, he cannot run
There is no way for him to fight
Their unrelenting ire
At his forbidden deed
Cannot take back the fire
That Man now needs
A/N: It rhymes! Yay! this one wasn't a Latin project...i just wanted to write this because the myth of Prometheus is rather... interesting.
Hope you like it!
