 Falling Through The Veil 




A jet of red light hits him...


He stumbles back in shock...


He thought she wouldn't dare. 


They say before you die,


Your life flashes before your eyes,


In the split second in which he falls


This is what he sees.




His mother brandishing a wand...causing him pain...


She screams words of hatred, of insult...


Of utmost loathing...


While Regulus laughs.



Jamming the Sorting Hat onto his head.


Feelings of fear and a raw excitement...


Until the hat cries "Gryffindor!"



Meeting the Marauders...


Causing various pranks to students


As laughter resounds.


The happiest and most misrable years of his life...



"We can't be together ,Sirius..."


"But ...why, Lily?"


"I-I-I love James...I'm sorry, Sirius..."


Footsteps of sorrow and regret leave...


Footsteps of fury and jealously echo...


As a sobbing girl remains...




Myriad crowds of faceless, nameless girls...


The only girl he ever loved...


Taken by his best friend...


His heart torn to shreds...


Remains in her laughing hands. 



A pregnant Lily,


A laughing James,


Feelings of sorrow and anger...


And jealously...



Baby Harry crawls as parents 


Fret over Voldemort...


As more people are killed...


More fear combined...


He looks into Harry's eyes...


Eyes of a past love.



"Lily and James are dead, Sirius..."


"Remus, what kind of sick joke is this?!"


"I'm dead serious...Sirius..."


Who knew Remus was a Seer?



Cold rattling breaths


Air is filled with evil, sadness, and revenge...


He glares at the darkness...


And vows to get the one who caused him this...



Harry's startled yells remind him of happier times...


Times when in Harry's eyes


He was a hero.


Before he falls, he smiles ever so slightly...


He regrets nothing as his life 


Is ripped from his body


As he falls through


The veil.
