Disclaimer: I don't own The Originals. That honor goes to Julie Plec, Michael Narducci and the CW.
Hello, my lovely readers. I wanted to write a short piece for Aiden and here it is. Sorry that it's sad. I will try to write some more pieces for Aiden and Josh. On with the show…
Lay Me Down:
When you're part of the supernatural community, you always wake up with one question in your mind: Is this the day that I'm going to die?
When Aiden walked out of the florist's shop, the last thing that was on his mind was death even though it walked beside him everywhere he went. But at that moment all he was thinking about was life. The life that he would have with Josh. They would get a little house somewhere in a big city, maybe New York. Josh would like that. He had told him one night when they were up in the late hours that he loved clubs. They would go out dancing every night. And talk every day. They wouldn't sleep much because they didn't need it. Davina would come visit and they would go out to eat at one of the famous restaurants and take selfies in front of the sites.
Grinning, Aiden did not know that death was waiting for him just around the corner. He did not know until the witch revealed herself and even then he thought that maybe he had a chance. Maybe someone would see or hear something. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. 'Josh, I love you. I'm so sorry. We're never going to -" Aiden did not get to complete his thought while the pain of the cuts across his face were causing agony, the witch yanked his heart out and then there was nothing… and everything.
Opening his eyes again, Aiden looked around to find that he was surrounded by strangers and then his parents were there. But that couldn't be because they were dead. "Am I in hell?" Aiden asked his mom.
"No. You've passed over. It's okay. You're free now," his mother said, stroking his cheek.
Closing his eyes, Aiden wanted to agree. He wanted to say that he had been released but some part of him still wanted to see Josh, to know that he would be okay. However, if he did see him that mean that Josh was dead, too, and Aiden did not want that for Josh. He wanted him to live and find happiness again. He just wished they had more time. Just another minute. Just one.
Since the Other Side is gone I wanted to say that some part of the supernatural community was able to pass over and to be at peace.
Thank you for reading, faving, following and for reviewing.
Peace,
Jessica
