Fairy Tail was family. Lucy recognized that, and wanted to stay around, but the madness still made her fume sometimes - most of the time, to be precise.
Like right now.
She could have sworn this was karma.
For, you know. Running away from home, dropping her keys, seducing men, and perhaps the latest one – for throwing Natsu into the lions den.
Yeah, probably karma.
After all, what had happened in the last three minutes and thirty seconds and still going on had to be retribution.
When she and Natsu came over to the guild to look for jobs to help with her monthly rent problems – including getting new furniture and more food, for Natsu had burned the couch and carpet again, and Happy had evacuated the contents of her refrigerator into his stomach, so when Lucy had snapped and dragged both the nuisances to the guild and slammed them into the floor, Mirajane had been impressed.
Gray, whom had been seated by the bar and was stuffing his face with his favorite strawberry flavored ice, removed himself from the bowl momentarily and greeted his favorite trio, "Hey Lucy, Hey Happy," ignored Natsu's existence and promptly started stripping.
Lucy had desperately wanted to pop her head open and sent puppy eyes towards Mirajane, and Natsu, whom had been sulking in a corner far away from Lucy burst up into flames, literarily, and tried to hug Gray.
Gray screeched, for hugging a guy was unmanly and no, Gray was as man as they could get. He managed to get out of Natsu's grasp by sliding out of his shirt, now clad in only his boxers and manly pride.
"Natsu!" He growled.
This led to another one of the pair's frequent arguments, eventually leading up to another fist fight, various people cheering either on. Lucy rolled her eyes and Mirajane gave a sympathetic smile.
Things got heated up, however, and Gray accidently froze her leg to the ground and Natsu burnt the end tips of her pony tail.
Lucy, who had been enjoying a conversation with Mirajane who told her the editors were very interested in Lucy and would arrange for a few more photoshoots – snarled, and Happy, who had his eyes wide open and witnessed the whole scene sent a reluctant smile towards Natsu and Gray and bid them a silent goodbye to the pair headed towards impending doom as he scuttled away.
"Aye!"
However, the moment Loki popped out and tried to cop a feel Lucy lost it.
There had been a fleeting moment of silence as the bar turned eerily quiet and no one dared to make a noise and Loki had cleverly made his escape to the other world when Lucy stopped rampaging around shouting at the various offenders, when a man screamed. "Erza's here!"
Within seconds the bar doors slammed open and in walked in Erza who had a triumphant smile on her features.
She raised an arm, mimicking a hero pose and announced.
"Gray, Natsu, Lucy! We have a job to do!"
Lucy sighed.
The day was never ending.
