Note: I cringed, a lot. And spewed out rubbish. I hope you forgive me.
Relationships were all about the little things one party did for the other, and Sakura smiled as she opened another parcel containing a teddy bear Sasuke-kun had sent from France.
She already had an entire collection of teddy bears, each one named and treated like royalty – dusted and hugged each day. What stood out amongst the brightly colored fur, however, was the jewelry Sasuke had given her - a promise ring studded with emeralds he had given her, with the promise that they would get married when he came back to Japan.
With that, he sent her a teddy bear every week, and this time the card read.
"Be safe."
Sasuke.
Putting away the card together with the toy, Sakura searched around her desk for a piece of writing paper and started writing a reply.

Dear Sasuke-kun,
It's been such a long time. Months have gone by without you here, and the only thing that's been keeping me up are the teddy bears and your promise.
Ino says it's real sweet that you always send something, because Shikamaru doesn't and she thinks he ought to at least write a letter saying he's still affected by the curse of curves (her curves), but she thinks you ought to write more.
I think its fine though, because you've always been scarce with words, and that makes you Sasuke-kun.
I miss you, and even though I'm always calling you and you're always listening to me babble while you work, I wish you were here.
