Justina sat proud with her four friends: Sierra Black, Remy Lupin, and Peggy Pettigrew. Sierra pushed back short strands of straight, silky black hair; looking straight over at Liam and his friends.

Justina once in a while would peer from around Sierra before looking away as quickly as she could.

Finally sensing someone was watching him, Liam turned towards them. He saw Sierra looking straight at them with cat eyes and then a bunch of messy black curls fell behind Sierra accompanied by a pale face covered by huge glasses.

As if it wasn't bad enough already due to the fact, they were head boy and girl. Liam shook his head turning back to his friends: Marlo McKinnon, Marcus Macdonald, Daniel Meadowes, and Emmerson Vance

"I will never understand, Liam." Marlo said, biting a huge hunk of his roll.

"Huh?" Liam asked, looking up from his cereal.

"I don't know," Liam heard from beside him, "maybe because the most attractive girl at Hogwarts wants to-and has wanted to date you for years." Daniel said, shaking his dark brown hair.

"If I had Justina always asking me out-Well I probably would have said yes the first time!" Emerson told him, reaching over the table and shoving him.

"But Severa-" Liam started.

"The same one that called you a mudblood? Why?" Marlo asked, blue eyes staring into green.

"She said it because of Justina."

"She said it because that's what she thought. Justina making her mad made it slip out."

"Well, we'll agree to disagr-"

"It's plain hypocrisy!" Emmerson nearly shouted across the table.

"No-" Liam started.

"Well you're willing to give Severa all these chances when she messes up, but you won't give Justina one?" Marcus asked.

"It's not-" Liam was cut-off again.

"It's not what, Liam? She hasn't done anything to you!" Daniel said, dropping his piece of toast on the table.

"I'm going to class. See you guys later." Liam said, picking up his backpack and heading down to the dungeons.

Thirty-minutes later, Gryffindors flooded into the dungeons standing behind their cauldrons. The last to arrive were-of course- the marauders. Justina ran a hand through her messy black curls, trying to find a seat in the dungeon.

Sierra, Remy, and Peggy rushed to the back, snagging the last three seats. There was only one more seat left and-of course- it was right next to Liam Evans. She fiddled with her backpack straps before walking over and sitting down next to him.

She scooted the chair as far as she could from him, before scooting to the side of the chair; she was desperate to get away.

The lesson itself went by quickly, but if you were to ask Liam and Justina, they'd tell you it took an eternity.

Liam couldn't stand to have Potter next to him for this long. Justina couldn't wait to rush out of the classroom, this was only going to make him hate her more. Both of their friends thought it was hilarious.

During the class, Liam couldn't help but have his thoughts-and eyes- travel to the girl next to him. She was beautifully chaotic. Beautiful. That was a good word to describe Potter. A beautiful chaotic mess that he couldn't help but… like… a lot.

Justina moved slow as she packed up her things. Everyone else in the class had already left. She put her hands on the counter behind her before lifting herself up and sitting down. She looked around the large classroom. It was dark, it's as if Slughorn never learned about a light. Despite being clean it had the undertone of dirt and grime, making her want to sanitize herself every time she went inside.

She hopped down from the counter and walked out the door. She made it half-way down the corridor when she heard loud stomping steps behind her.

Justina turned fast and was met with Severa Snape staring her down from the other end of the hall.

"Hey, Potter." Severa said, lurking closer, her voice laced in malice.

"Oh what do you want Severa? You gonna turn your cronies on me?" Justina continues up the hallway when she was shot with a stinging hex. Justina turned fast.

"Auguamenti!" Justina shot towards Severa.

"Diffindo!"

"Protego!" Severa felt the skin of her shoulder slice.

"Sectumsempra!" Severa screamed, shooting the curse straight at Justina's chest.

Justina crumpled to the ground, blood pouring from her chest to her stomach.

Overcoming her shock, Severa crept over slowly. She watched as Justina's face twisted in pain before walking away.

Justina moaned in agony before slipping into unconsciousness.

A/N:

Cliff-hanger. Sort-of. Ooh I'm evil. Hopefully the next chapter will make up for it!
