I sat beside the river stirring the waves trying to catch the attention of a fish. Just as I seemed to get its attention some behind me said. "Hi, Katara." It startled me and I lost the fish, I turned around and saw my boyfriend Aang standing next to a tree with Momo on his shoulder. I was little ticked I lost the fish but seeing Aang always brightened my mood. "hi Aang." Aang shuffled closer to me then moved Momo to the ground off his shoulder. He brought me close to him and we kissed. He placed his arms around my waist and we rocked to the sound of the river. "Karie," I smiled at my nickname, "I have something to ask you." We kept rocking to the river but he got frown lines on his forehead. "what is it Aang?" I was getting worried Aang hadn't looked this nervous since four years ago during the war. He scratched the back of his arrow. "we'll, Katara will you marry me?" he put his hand down and Momo handed him a white piece of leather with a carved piece of stone on it. I couldn't believe it, it was a betroval necklace it had air and waves, the perfect combo. "I-I-"but I got cut off by someone bursting through the bush behind him. "KATARA-!" I looked behind Aang and there was Zuko doing a dive roll over to me and Aang. "ZUKO?" me and Aang said at the same time. I thought Zuko would stand up but he stayed on his knees and ruffled in his pockets for a moment then brought out his fist. Aang got an annoyed expression and let go of me. "Zuko," Aang's ears started turning pink, "we were kind of in the middle of something." Zuko looked at him as if he was a badly behaved puppy. Then he looked back at me and his expression softened slightly. "Katara, will you marry me?" he opened his fist before I even realized what was going on. In his hand was a piece of leather with a flat round stone in the center with waves and fire on it. I blinked and saw Aang and Zuko fighting to the death, I knew no matter how peaceful Aang was, he would kill Zuko. Zuko kicked at Aangs face and Aang caught his foot, his eye's glinted maliciously. "STOP!" I yelled at the top of my voice. Aang and Zuko turned their heads towards me. They walked towards me giving each other murderess looks as they did. They stood in front of me their necklaces at my feet. Zuko ears were smoking but as he looked at me it stopped. "so," said Zuko. "who do you pick. Me or the guy full of hot air standing next to me." Aang was about to stomp his foot and I was sure he was planning on blowing Zuko to the moon. I gave him my best 'don't do it' look and he slowly put his foot down. I looked at Aang for a long time and Zuko ears started smoking again. I bent down and scooped up the necklaces. I put one in each hand and walked over to Zuko. He held out his hands and I placed his necklace in them, he was about to tie it around my neck and I stopped his hands. "No." I walked over to Aang and gave him his necklace he went and tied it around my neck then lifted me up in his arms. The grass around Zuko's feet caught on fire. I kissed Aang on the cheek and he smirked at Zuko. "sorry Zu-Zu." And my new fiancé brought me over to our tent.
