Father said that Ari needed more medicine. His cold had gotten worse over the past few days. But it was Winter after all, and Ari never failed to get sick this time of year so it was no surprise to Max.

With her Shaw across her shoulders, and knitted scarf around her neck, she headed out of town that her and her family lived in .The Town was tiny, and didn't have all the necessary things that she needed for her brother, she was to go Into the next town. It was much larger then the one she lived in, but max loved the quiet of the small town of Twin Brooks.

But in order to get to the town, she needed to pass through the dark, and Looming woods. In there was a winding cobblestone path that wove its way through the woods. It lead strait to the other town that she headed. Max loved going this way, because of the crisp air and the lovely sight of the tree's covered with a blanket of white snow. But little did she know that this trip through the woods was going to be much more different then the rest she has made.

All though she could not sense or see it, off in the distance was a tall figure watching her pass through the trees, down the path. With Their eyes on her, they followed Max's every step, every move as if she was their pray.

A ray of sunshine was beaming down on Max as her steps echoed off the cobblestone. The sun casting a shadow that was following her. What she failed to note was that with the multiple opening in the tree tops, the only ray of sun light was on her and the path, everything else around her being dark and cold.

A powerful gust of wind came from behind her, carrying leaves along with it as it passed her. The force of the wind pushed her forward, almost as if it was pulling her in deeper and deeper into the looming woods.
