Yesterday

Yesterday I said that I was just confused,
that the time for us just wasn't there.
Yesterday, he kissed me and I was so stunned
That I wasn't even thinking clear.
So I just ran away.
Yesterday, I could've sworn he was begging me to say
"I want us to be together too!"
That's when I turned him down and I was just confused.
Stupid me.
Yesterday, we saw a play.
It was about us.
In it my character said
We were just friends.
I think it made him uneasy,
Because he stormed outside.
That's when he confessed to me with all the hope in the world.
And I just toyed with his emotions,
Not even on purpose.
I think I saw his heart break, and I think
I broke my own.
But I know that everything will turn out alright because
Today I'll tell him the truth.
That truth is inevitable.
That truth is eternal, and pure.
That truth is simple.
That truth is that I love him
And I'll never stop.
Okay, I got this idea when I was listening to 'A Little Longer' by the Jo Bros, and thought I should write a song. I'm a writer and that goes hand in hand with songwriting. But unfortunately, I have nothing to write music to, or music to write to.
This was going to be a song until the mabey second line and thought "I was thinking about Avatar just then!" So I was thinking of (in a kataang sense) what Katara would be thinking tonight (July 19, 2008. Finale of Avatar) after The Ember Island Players.
