Disclaimer: This is seriously starting to make me feel bad. For Chocolate's sake, I don't own Naruto!
Warnings: Err… drama. That's it, I think…

Plans, Lies and a Funeral
'How dare that old hag tell me I'm not allowed to go after him anymore?'
Naruto paced back and forth across his living room.
'What the hell am I supposed to do now?'
He needed to bring Sasuke back! Without him, the only real friend he had left was Sakura, and she had other friends; she couldn't be with him all the time. She had a life.
However, he didn't. When Sasuke left, he had taken the blond's life with him.
Then it hit him – the perfect plan.
It truly was a perfect plan. The only person that knew of this plan was the blond's teammate, Sakura, and she was sworn to secrecy. Of course he had gone to his best friend for help with it. He knew she would never tell anyone. He could trust her. So, she was to take care of all the necessary arrangements.
Kyuubi had - for once - decided to be helpful, much to Naruto's delight. She was able to keep his chakra signals perfectly invisible, so that no one would be able to detect them, even an experienced Hyuuga. This would create the illusion that there was no chakra flow at all.
Though Sakura didn't like it, this plan had to be carried out.
To the rest of the world, Uzumaki Naruto would be dead.
It was an open casket funeral.
The body of Uzumaki Naruto lay motionless in his coffin, dressed in a black suit, eyes closed loosely. To everyone, it seemed horribly unnatural.
Teary-eyed friends, and even some acquaintances of the formerly boisterous ninja occasionally walked over and wondered things like, "Why him", and "Why now?"
He had a dream; more than one, actually. At first, it was just to become hokage, but since his other best friend had left, he vowed to bring him back.
If you had asked him which of his two goals was foremost, he would simply smile softly and turn away, or change the subject.
Now everyone was thinking sadly that he hadn't achieved either – and he never will. For once, Naruto would not be able to keep his promise. It was just not right.
Though, one pink-haired kunoichi knew otherwise.
Sakura slowly walked over to where the blond lay on the blood-colored velvet bottom of the casket.
"I trust you," she whispered.
She reached out and touched his hand. Naruto's face remained solemn, except for one corner of his mouth that crept upwards slightly – so slightly that you wouldn't even notice if you weren't looking for it. She knew what that smile meant.
She smiled sadly. "Come home soon, Naruto. Come back safe, and bring him with you."
A/N:
Blarg.
No, this is not going to be multi-chaptered.
It's a vague and annoying one shot, written merely to piss people off because of its vagueness. I know, I'm worse than the devil, heheh. Speaking of the devil, I've got this chap stick that I swear is the devil's chap stick! I throw it out, and – BAM! – the next day, it's back! God damn devil and his pointless lime-flavored chap stick…
Anyway, the third chappie of IWTOCTH should be up BY TOMORROW. Like, w-izzut?
YES! It's the truth, I swear! And after I update, the updates will come faster. I was just stuck on this chapter. That also means that this chapter is going to suck. A lot.
Alright, enough rambling, REVIEW!
