Observation

A pink room illuminated by a chandelier tells the story of the broken hearted. The story ignored by most. From a distance, an inattentive observer may think the scene in front of them is one of war, as if a hurricane came through and destroyed all the happy memories that the place had carved into its walls through time

Looking closer though, you spot a shaking figure lying on the ground, curled up in a ball over the glass pieces once belonging to the picture frames that cover the walls. Pictures of smiles and laughter, of hugs and kisses. Records of happiness that contrast with the feelings emanated from the being on the floor, the being that probably destroyed these memories after entering, wanting them to be erased. Forgotten. Because they are now lost and soon to be replaced by numbness and naked walls of beige that are impersonal and don't whisper love stories. Naked walls that tell nothing.

Inspecting the individual, you see cuts on their left hand and a pair of scissors on their right. The shards of glass, you see, are not alone after all and are accompanied by white strands of hair that probably shine blonde in the summer sunlight. The individual stands up, slowly but surely and you realize it's a male. He goes back to his bed, and lies down bald and shivering yet with no tears.

If you look close enough, however, you see a thin silver water drop trailing down his cheek and his lips slightly moving, forming the words "I loved you first!" over and over again, silently. And if you listen hard enough you can hear the sound of a heart breaking.
