Author's note: This is my (pathetic) attempt at a Highschool AU fic with Dean and Fem!Cas. Enjoy and reviews would be so appreciated!
Cas loves it when Dean says hi to her in the hallway. She loves his timid wave and the little smile that tugs on the corner of his mouth. She loves that he's so smart and nice and athletic. If only Cas were sportier or didn't trip on her own two feet... Maybe..just maybe then she could be closer to him! Cas knows it's all too cliché: Girl likes popular guy, girl isn't popular, girl doesn't have a chance with the guy, and so on and so forth.
Dean has lots of friends and is interesting. But Cas is as normal and boring as anyone could get. She gets perfect grades and never gets in trouble. She then goes home to her not-so-great family but she always tries her best to never put a toe out of line and keep her temper cool. Cas doesn't mind being the not too popular girl. She has many friends but they aren't the type to ask her to hang out on weekends. Cas led an average life.
But after Cas met Dean, many things changed. She started thinking about him all day. She started trying to be around him more. She even went to one of his shooting matches to watch him do what he does best. Even though she did all this, Cas knew he was too good for her. She knew that he doesn't think of her that way and most likely never will. This thought dragged her down each day like a brick being added into her backpack already full of other bricks of worries and stress.
But Cas keeps going, because she can and she will. She won't let one guy bring her down. If she has to be unhappy to keep her grades up to get to a great college, that's exactly what she'll do. Cas will just be
waiting
waiting
waiting for Dean to finally notice her.
But that day will never come and she knows it.
A/N: Hey again! Thanks for reading and I hope you liked it! I don't know if I want to continue this at all or leave it at this because I have no idea how I would continue it in the first place...tell me if you think I should continue! Thanks!
