It rang through the walls of the castle; the only sound a soft sobbing from within.

He had hurt her, stolen it, her heart.

She was in pain; shredded remains trying with all hope to knit themselves and each other.

His worry drove him, crossing the corridor in long strides and knock, waiting.

A feeble reply answered, and the sight had him embrace her. She cried in his arms, silent.

Then green eyes met hazel, sensing, knowing.

They leaned in, and the world did not matter, anymore.
