Summary: Bobby and Alex are called in for a case in the middle of the night.
A/N: This is actually what I wish would happen at the end of the teaser of the last episode. LOL It's my little fantasy. All of the rumors and a couple of other fics spurred me to go ahead and write this. So please enjoy and remember to review. Thanks.
It was after three am, and Bobby was fast asleep in bed when the offending cell phone rang on the bedside table. Bobby's eyes shot open, and he lied there a second hoping he wasn't actually hearing it and that he could go back to sleep. He felt the lump beside him stir. There was no getting out of it now. The body lying beside him would unhappily force him to answer the phone in a minute if he didn't do it on his own.
With a sigh, he reached over the lump and picked up his cell phone. Sitting up, he ran his hand across face. Without looking at the caller ID, he answered, "Goren."
Ross was on the other end. He spoke apologetically, "Sorry to wake you, Goren, but I need you and Eames at a scene in the west village."
Bobby stifled a groan. He should have known. He nodded. "What's the address, and I'll let her know."
Ross sighed. Quickly rattling off the street address, he added, "This is the mayor's cousin, so try to be a little diplomatic…"
With another nod, Bobby replied, "We will. Bye, Captain." Hanging up the phone, he sighed. So much for a good night's sleep.
Looking at the sleeping form beside him, he smiled. Leaning over her, he kissed her neck and ran a finger up her arm. "Hey…"
With a groan, she looked up at him. Moving some hair out of her face, she insisted, "I was trying to pretend your phone didn't ring."
Bobby smiled. Giving her a quick kiss, he replied, "Sorry. It was Ross, and we have to go, Alex."
Sitting up, she sighed again. "I was afraid of that." Getting up, she walked to the closet and grumbled, "You owe me a bubble bath and a nap."
Amused, Bobby smirked. Getting up himself, he replied, "I'll be happy to pay my debt tonight."
Pulling out what she wanted to wear, Alex laid everything out on the bed. She grinned widely. "Good. I'm looking forward to it then."
Pulling out some clothes of his own, he replied, "I'm sure you are."
