Chapter 1: An uneasy morning.
A small house sits on the edge of a large lake, just outside the Fang Village. All is calm. The sun is just rising, signaling the day to begin. An unusual quiet hangs over the area. Then, voices ring out through the silence.
"Hey Kido! Over here!", Kado shouts to his twin brother.
"Hold on, I'm grabbing a bit of Ramen before I leave!", he replies.
Kido runs into their small shack and returns shortly after with a small bowl of piping hot Ramen in hand. He begins to slurp it down, hungrily. Kado stares at him quizzically.
"Dude...who else...but you...eats RAMEN for breakfast!?!?", he asks loudly.
"Screw you, dude! Ramen's good as hell!", Kido replies angrily.
"Fine, Fine. Calm down, Calm Down.", Kado says, backing off.
"C'mon Kado! We're gonna be late for the Exams, Dumbass.", He says, speeding up.
Kado sighs, and speeds up as well to catch up with his slightly older brother.
After a short walk, the pair reach the Village. As they enter, a negative vibe washes over the both of them.
"Hey, Kido. You feel that?, Kado asks.
"Yeah, I kinda do. It's starting to freak me out!", He replies.
As they venture further into the village, they begin to get the feeling that they were being watched. They continue on toward the Exam House, however. As they approach it, something becomes painfully obvious to Kado.
"Um...Dude...I don't know if you've noticed...but...there's no one around." Kado says, worriedly.
Kido looks around. Kado was indeed correct. There wasn't a soul to be found. It was as if the entire village had packed up and just left.
"What...the..FUCK..is going on around this place!"
