AN: I've had this written in my notes to write since the Christmas episode. Finally got to it 5 months later. Just a drabble of character thoughts based on watching the reactions to Rory singing. Don't Own Glee.

"Jesus?" Kurt asked. Rory gave him a strange look before starting to sing.

I'll have a Blue Christmas without you
I'll be so blue thinking about you
Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree
Won't be the same dear, if you're not here with me

He missed his family, but this song helped him to feel better. He sang it and imagined his family able to hear him all the way in Ireland. He knew they would be okay and so would he. He just really wished they could be here, or he could go home to them. It made him smile a bit though as he saw the other glee club members joining in his song. It would be all right.

I'll have a Blue Christmas that's certain
And when that blue heartache starts hurtin'
You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white,
But I'll have a blue, blue Christmas

Sam smiled as Rory sang. The kid was good. He could understand what he was feeling too. All though he was driving home to see his family in a few weeks, the thought of that made him smile. He couldn't wait to see his brother and sister again. They called him every night and told him about their day before he talked to his parents. They wanted to build snowmen with him and have a snowball fight. Sam dropped his hands in defeat at that thought. They always managed to gang up on him and leave him completely covered in snow, cold and wet. Still he couldn't wait to see them. He gave Rory a thumbs up in encouragement as he finished the song. Rory would see his family soon, and maybe before then he could come and hang out with Sam's family. Sam smiled and decided to talk to Rory soon.

I'll have a Blue Christmas without you
I'll be so blue thinking about you
Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree
Won't be the same dear, if you're not here with me

Kurt nodded his head as he listened to Rory sing. He wasn't bad, but Kurt really didn't enjoy the song. Kurt's decorations might not have been red, it was extremely tacky, but they had been gold and blue. They weren't the same the year after his mom died. This song was played on the radio all the time. Kurt couldn't listen to it without thinking of his mom and crying. He simply smiled and nodded as Rory and everyone else sang along. He didn't cry anymore when he heard it. Now he had Carole and Finn and Blaine. Not that he and Blaine would get to be together Christmas day, both their families were strict on that. They would be able to give each other gifts though and still celebrate. Kurt knew his mom was happy that he had found someone and his dad was happy again. He just wished she was here too.

I'll have a Blue Christmas that's certain
And when that blue heartache starts hurtin'
You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white,
But I'll have a blue, blue Christmas

Santana was upset when Rory sang. Just because he was depressing and had nothing to live for didn't mean he had to get them all down. Abuelita would have the tree up by now, the house decorated. Usually Santana went over to help her out and they would also bake. Not this year though. Santana hadn't been back and she wasn't allowed back still. Add to that Brittany going off with her family and leaving her all alone. This Christmas was going to suck just like last years. The song was just showing how much. She would rather be dead then listen to Rory singing this song.
