I looked down at my growing army of Bloodclan cats. Gray, white, black, and brown pelts brushing against each other. They were now being taught by none other than my loyal second in command, Bone. I watched as my army practiced the art of killing, for these lessons might save their lives in the battle. No one hesitated, no one said a word as they watched and practiced. There was no room for error, no room for mistakes. This was it. Either Bloodclan wins and we get the forest, with its food and protection or Bloodclan loses, and we will be wiped out, forever.
"Cats of Bloodclan!" I yowled catching everyone's attention. "We are going to battle, and victory will be ours!"
"Bloodclan! Bloodclan! Bloodclan! Bloodclan! Bloodclan! Bloodclan!"
The cheers went on until Bone silenced them. He looked at me to speak.
"Before we leave to battle, you may say goodbye to your loved ones, for we may not return. But if we do, it'll be with food, and shelter for a place to raise our next generations!" and with that I slunk back into the shadows.
I watched as many of my warriors went to their mates and kits. I turned around and looked to see the beautiful pelt of my mate.
"Scourge don't leave us! If you do then who will take care of me and our little kit?" the silver and black she-cat asked.
"Night! Please! We will return victorious and then we will be able to name our daughter." Scourge insisted placing his tail on her shoulder.
"Bloodclan! To war!" Scourge yowled.
"To war!"
The small black and white tom lay in a pool of his own blood, his yellow eyes glazed over completely. He stared into the starry silverpelt. There he could see her, her soft gray pelt sleek as if she was full fed, not like the last time he saw her.
"Come on Tiny!" Scourge heard his sister, ruby and brother socks call him.
"Wait for me!" scourge called as he disappeared into the starry skies, guided by his mother, sister, and brother.
"Scourge is gone!"
Night heard the noise and saw her mate's dead body and let out a grief-stricken wail.
"Our daughter will avenge you, my love." Night vowed.
Night looked over at her mewling daughter. Her black and white fur spiked up.
"Welcome to this world, revenge.
