Frustration at the Drive-Thru

"Your sure you want to do this, Miko?" Bulkhead asked.

"Definitely. It's going to be hilarious! Miko said, pumping her fist in the air. "Just stick to the plan, and everything will work out fine."

"Welcome to KO Burger, where every patty's a knockout. May I take your order?" Sometimes Jack really hated working at a burger joint. The hats were embarrassing enough, but the things they had to say ought to be illegal! Then there were the customers, like those rowdy teens who always stole their order.

"Yeah, uh, I'll have a bean burrito with no onions," a female voice said, scratchy as it came through the intercom system.

"Um, we don't serve... burritos here. Uh, sorry." Jack was majorly confused.

"Excuse me? I don't like your tone! Besides, the menu has a burrito on it for $0.99."

"Look ma'am, I know everything that's on the menu, it's kinda my job, and we don't have burritos here."

She sounded like she was starting to get pissed, and frankly, Jack wasn't far behind. Probably a natural blonde, he thought.

"Oh really? It's your job. I'm surprised you haven't been fired yet!" She retorted.

Now it was Jack's turn to let his attitude out. "Excuse me? What's your problem? I've told you a thousand times we don't serve burritos here!" Or people like you, for that matter, he thought.

"Well maybe I'll just have a talk with your manager!" She shot back.

"Go ahead, he'll tell you the same thing. If you want a burger that's fine, but we don't even have a tortillas at this store. Okay? So could you please make up your mind?" Jack pleaded.

"Okay." The voice had a certain tone that freaked him out a little. It sounded like she would start laughing, but there was a playful warning underneath her words.

Vroom!

A powerful engine sounded through the intercom, making Jack wince. He heard a large car zip around the corner and come up to the window. When Jack got a look at the passenger, he almost had a heart attack.

"Wha... Uh... MIKO!" He sputtered out.

She burst into chest-wracking laughter as she said, "You should have seen your face! You were all pissed and serious and then you were all confused. Oh, it was totally worth whatever your going to do to me in revenge!"

"Bulkhead," he whispered scathingly, "aren't you supposed to keep her under control!"

"Uh..." He replied.

"Aw c'mon, Darby. It was funny!"

"Miko, I'm at work. You know my job, that I would like to keep." He scolded in exasperation.

"Oh, alright. We can take a hint. See you after your shift!"

"Yeah see you later," he mumbled.

Jack didn't think he could get any more surprised, but once again the little Japanese girl proved him wrong. She clambered onto the driver's seat, then leaned out the window. With her hands on the lower part of the open window, she angled herself out the window and pecked him on the lips.

"Bye now!" She said waving as Bulkhead peeled out of the drive-thru.

Jack stood shell-shocked for a moment, but he jumped when the manager screamed, "Darby! Get back to work, and stop daydreaming!"

Jack finished his shift, and Arcee picked him up.

"What happened?" His guardian asked. "Miko and Bulk came back to base laughing their afts off, and then Bulkhead kept saying, 'That last thing wasn't part of the plan.'"

"Oh, nothing much. I just need to... talk... with Miko when we get back to base," he replied with a smile.

A/N

How was that, guys? I thought this would be a short-but-sweet story to do with Jack and Miko. I figured Jack got a lot of scrap working at a drive-thru, and that Miko would cause some of it. However, she did leave her mark didn't she? Please review and tell me what you think!
