The Serpent's Lair
She was a bloody Gryffindor, and she would very well act like it. Rose pulled the cloak tighter around her as she made her way through the corridors to the Room of Requirement. She secretly wished she'd never heard her cousin Roxanne telling Shadow Wood about the game. She passed under a window, saw the moon shining brightly, and prayed that she wouldn't get caught.
When Rose finally entered the Room of Requirement she saw a fairly large group of fifth, sixth, and seventh years already gathered. Most were Slytherins, though there were a few Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs mixed in.
Everyone sat in a large circle, and Rose tried to pretend that she wasn't being stared at. Was it her bloody fault she was the only Gryffindor in the room? Once the game got started Rose was relieved that no one seemed to want to pick on her. Until Roxanne Weasley was dared to do a coin toss. She lost once, removed an article of clothing, and then won the second toss.
Smirking, she looked at Rose and said, "Scorpius, truth or dare?" as though she had been waiting all night for such an opportunity. Rose cursed her blasted luck.
"Dare," Scorpius answered arrogantly.
Rose watched the smirk spread into a full, delighted smile. Roxanne finally looked at Scorpius. "I dare you to kiss Rose for a whole minute."
Panicked, Rose glared at her cousin. She knew Rose harbored a crush on the Malfoy heir. What the bloody hell was she thinking, daring him to kiss her? She would find a way to make her pay for this!
Rose watched Scorpius stand in a swift, smooth motion. He walked to her, held his hand out to her. When she put her hand in his she had to fight for control.
She was resolutely not saying anything and focused on Scorpius' smoky, gray eyes. Her mouth parted slightly and eyes slipped closed as his face drew closer to hers.
His lips were soft and smooth as they pressed against hers. One hand was flat against her back, the other holding the back of her neck. His fingers moved softly across her skin, and she felt herself melting into the kiss.
When the minute was up, his lips moved to her ear. "Welcome to the serpent's lair, luv, where truths are blackmail and dares are dangerous."
What had she gotten herself into?
