Author's Note: Hello, lovelies! I've already put this on my Deviant Art and decided to put it here, too! I do not own Bucky Barnes (shame and heartache) but I do own my OC. Please read and review. I am also considering character x oc requests and ideas for the Avengers, Loki included! Please tell me if you have any ideas or requests! You are all amazing and I love you guys!
And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cuz I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't wanna go home right now…
I was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. A hardworking, dedicated S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. And it was awful. Absolutely awful.
Bucky Barnes—a.k.a. the Winter Soldier or, if you want to, one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most wanted—was my best friend, and, even though it was something I'm pretty much forbidden to say aloud, he was the best boyfriend I girl could wish for. I'd been with him for almost three years. And he was a true gentleman. He was courteous, kind, caring, and altogether perfect—not to mention good-looking as well!
The downsides of being with Bucky, no matter how many there were, have always been unimportant to me whenever we're together. He may have been on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most wanted list, he may be from a different time period, and so many other things, and these are minor things. Besides, these were all part of the things that made Bucky himself. And I love them all.
All I can taste is this moment
All I can breathe is your life
And sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight…
A smile graced my lips as he twirled me around.
Dancing. It was something that I loved to do whenever I was with Bucky. And I'm pretty sure he loves it, too.
"Why does life have to be this way?" I said suddenly.
"What do you mean, Alya?" Bucky asked, his eyes never leaving my face.
"Why does everything have to be so hard? I wish we didn't have to hide." I responded sadly.
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cuz I don't think that they'd understand
Bucky frowned slightly before pulling me close and enveloping me in his arms all the while swaying to the music filtering from the stereo.
"Someday, when all this is over, we won't have to hide anymore, right?" I ask.
He stopped dancing and looked at me, his eyes locking with mine.
And everything's made to be broken
Bucky pulled back, but didn't release my hands.
"Alya," he said.
I looked at him quizzically.
He released one hand to reach into his pocket and got down on one knee.
I froze. Was this really happening?
"Will you do me the outstanding honor of becoming my wife? I promise you, we'll never hide us again."
I just want you to know who I am…
"Yes."
