Ears pricked, nose twitching, eyes sharp.
Humans, first heard, then smelt, then seen.
It is invisible, hidden against the cave wall.
They turn the corner, unaware of the presence next to them.
It pounces.
Tearing, ripping shredding, destroying.
Screams that are ignored, cries gone unheard.
This is the fate of foolish humans who dare enter a Gabite's cave, searching for it's treasure.
Never to come back again.
