"Darquesse is an alter ego, it's you, just in a really bad version and more powerful version of you. "Skulduggery said. "You don't use your full power until that side of your personality emerges. You might have multiple personality disorder.
"So that means that whenever I turn Darquesse, I'm an alter ego, but my personality is still in my head. Is Darquesse my alter ego because I'm power hungry or is she just like a remnant?"
"You probably will love the feeling of people being crushed by a mere touch of the finger, and that is probably why Darquesse exists in the first place. But if someone hurts someone you love, you may turn Darqesse for a while. If the worst would come to happen, Darquesse would merge with you, and you will be the ender of the world, not Darquesse. And if you merge, you will have no problem killing the world, and your power would increase tenfold. The good thing is, you both have to agree to merge. It's happened before."
"If anyone hurts anybody in my family, Darquesse would be an angel compared to what I'll become... "
A WEEK LATER
Kitana was out with a vengeance. Did that little girl think that she could beat her? Sure, she got in jail, but she got out by jumping and vaulting the whole prison. The fight a few years ago was tough. She didn't know how Valkyrie got that much power, but she bet it was the Accelerator. Sean visited her a few months ago. Sean escaped a while back by a man with golden eyes, and he stole blueprints for a new machine. It was made by the same person who made the Accelerator. It can give magic to another person until they kill a person, but it would make them weak if they do not kill in 24 hours.
"Sean, it's Kitana. Do you have the machine built?" Kitana questioned."
"Yeah, it looks sick! Come upstairs and have a go." a voice said from a garage. When Kitana got there, she saw an led screen next to a cylinder-shaped chamber. It showed her options of what kind of magic she wanted. She chose something called the red right hand and stepped into the chamber. When she closed the door, she felt a refreshing wave of power wash over her.
"The machine will only work for once in a whole lifetime, and the power will disappear after a kill." Sean warned.
"Don't worry, I got this." Kitana said reassuringly. She was going to kill that Valkyrie Cain. Then, she thought better of it. She would leave Alice (she heard about her when Valkyrie passed by) with a hole through her chest and graffiti painted on her that said, "Kitana Waz Here" next to the Sanctuary. This was going to be great.
"Sean, didn't the golden eyes dude tell you about Cain's address?"
