Steve's POV
It took me a month after the events of New York to finally gain the courage I needed to go see her. But first I needed a way to England. I only had on thought on who could get me there.

"Hey Tony?" I asked walking into his lab.

"Yeah?" He replied.

"I need a favor."

"What Capsicle?"

"Can I use your plane?"

"Why?"

"I'm going to go see Peggy Carter my old flame I need closure Tony!" It was true I was devastated when I woke up. I thought I'd never see her again. "I learned she was retired and S.H.E.I.L.D. has a file that has her address, so I need a ride to Winchester."

"Alright alright I'll let you use the jet. You look horrible Cap. You look like you need this so out of the kindness that is my heart you can take the jet. Happy will take you there." He replied.

"Thank you so much Tony I really needed this." I said.

"No problem you're no fun to pick on when you're upset." Of course he had a way of getting something out of it. Tony always does but at least I was going to see Peggy one last time.

2 days later

I flew to Winchester and was standing at Peggy's door. It took me a good five minutes to decide to knock.

"Just do it Steve." I told myself and knocked and the door opened.

"Steve?" She asked it was nice to hear her voice again and then I looked up. Other than her hair graying Peggy hadn't changed.

"Hello Peggy it's been quite sometime. I flew in because I felt like we should talk." I said and just looked at the ground.

"It's so good to see you Steve come in I'll make you some tea." She said and I did. We got to talking about everything. "I was so devastated when your communication was lost. I never forgot about you though. I even got married and had some kids one named after you."

"You named your son Steven?" I asked.

"I did you meant a lot to me Steve and you meant a lot to everyone who was friends with you. They never forgot about you either. We all loved you."

"What happened to your husband?"

"I met Johnathan in London when the war was over he was helping to rebuild homes from the bombings. But he never took your place in my heart. He died two years ago. All of the children were with us though. Steve, James, Johnny Jr., Natalie, Mary, and Elizabeth."

"I'm glad you had a happy life Peggy I'm glad you could move on from me. I needed closure and you don't know how much courage it took me to come see you today."

"I'm very glad you did Steve, I always hoped you were still alive and I'm glad that you're part of the Avengers. If you ever want to talk just call me."

"I will Peggy it was so nice to see you."

"It was lovely to see you again Steve stay strong and keep helping the world like you do."

"I will Peggy. I should be going I borrowed Tony Starks jet."

"Howards son? How is he?"

"He's like Howard although a bit more arrogant he's gotten better as I've known him."

"I remember him as a small boy he's smart like his father."

"He is and I hope you'll pay us a visit."

"I will goodbye Steve."

"Goodbye Peggy."

I felt better after I talked with Peggy. I finally got the closure I needed. I could accept this world now. I didn't have to fight or be upset about leaving my old one behind.
