It's Not Okay
"It's okay," Jacob tells him.
But Seth knows that Jacob is wrong. It's not okay.
It's not okay that Leah is gone, never coming back. It's not okay that she's dead.
It's not okay that even though he'll never see his sister again, the only thing he can think of is Jacob's arms around him, trying to be comforting.
And it's not okay that Jacob knows.
It's not okay that Jacob knows how Seth is always thinking about him, and how Seth wants him.
It's not okay that Jacob is just comforting Seth because he knows, not because he really cares.
"No," Seth says, his voice a cracked whisper. "It's not okay."
