Hetalia and some half cite notes in this story DO NOT belong to me you hear the warning.

In this chapter I will use America instead of Alfred…note this to prevent confusion.

"...In war we will be like land birds, unable to fly far from their own shores...is our duty to develop this… a power of the nation at the sea…"

Captain Alfred Thayler Mahan 1890

He wanted to imitate England, but adding some new taste of his own, though not everyone agreed with this preposition; America's heart still have the ache, everyone knew that. He continued to present ideas, projects and strategies to them, some were good while other not that good. America was listening to all of this, thought he still wonders what the captain meant with the phrase at the beginning, he wasn't paying attention so he was kind of lost, he just rested his head on the table.

"They would be powerful and efficient" the captain repeated.

"Modeled after?" Another man asked. It was like a demand rather than a request.

"The British Royal Navy ship" the captain replied.

America quickly raised his sight and turned his head to fully face the man in front of him. He got startled by this like the rest of the people that were there did. A great silence stokes and then the sudden gasp and whispering were heard. America just covered his ears; he didn't want to hear about England anymore.

"That idea is absurd" someone said

"America should annex Dominican Republic and purchase the others from Spain" Another man added furiously.

"Will Spain and the congress agreed?"

America shakes his head violently trying not to hear more of the argument this people had, it made him sick and tired. He haven't rest very well these few days, his eyes close without warning, his hands moved involuntary, he needed rest urgently, his body was calling him.

"Spain will agreed, after all he lost his power" a man sitting next to America said.

"But, why his nails are clenching on those territories?" a man replied.

"Let's dismiss, America needs rest"

"I'm glad you notice" America slowly stands and leaves the room.

Walking down the halls he thinks and thinks, but his mind continues with the blurry images. Suddenly he shut his eyes when the sun rays made themselves visible, he haven't seen the sun since this morning. He recalls that after he woke up he was call to attend the meeting and judging by the sun's position it was already noon. All these sudden meetings were constantly drowning his energies and his whole body screamed for rest.

Moving between the grass he walks and walks until he reaches a tree. He sits and his eyes firmly look at the blue sky above him. As he watches the white clouds moved around his eyes slowly close.

"Nation at the sea..."he thoughts

Okay…tell me what you think…
