Arthur was stopped by hearing someone crying. At seven Arthur knew enough from his mommy to try and help people when they cry. Arthur was shocked to find Merlin his six year old next door neighbour crying reaching up towards the tree. "Coome do-wn Killy." Merlin sobbed trying to reach up at get his kitty. "I'll get him," Arthur said climbing up the tree and grabbing Killy and bringing him down and putting him in Merlin's arms. "Killy!" Merlin said cuddling his kitten. "Thank you Arthur." Merlin said with a watery smile. "Well I was pretty great." Arthur said puffing out his chest making Merlin giggle. Merlin reached and Arthur a kiss on the cheek.
Twenty- five years later…
"Daddy, Daddy! Cody found Aithusa!" Arthur turned to his ten year old daughter Marissa holding her kitten. "That's great Kitten have you thanked Cody yet." "I will. I'm going to thank him by not buffing him the next time he says something stupid." Marissa said this as Merlin walked in. "Marissa, Cody outside waiting for you." Merlin said pointing to the front door. "Thanks Papa," Marissa said pressing a kiss on her other father's cheek and racing outside. "Reminds me of when I lost my kitty." Merlin said kissing his husband ignoring his wide eye look. "Of course we don't have anything to worry..." Merlin trailed of as the scene outside the window caught his eye arthur turned and gasped in horror. Marissa was kissing Cody on the lips she pulled away to whisper, "thank you." Merlin couldn't restrain his laughter as he tried to calm his overprotective husband while to kids outside blushed.
