BoysBoy.
How dumb were they? Quite. Quite dumb. That's all there is to it.
That's all they needed. The two of them had since left the world of
boys and indulged into lovely coffee dates and trips to the beach,
and shopping, and ice cream cones and parties in the big city. The
two of them never really needed the boys anyways. Who did?
They
could certainly make their heads turn though. Mikaela and Maggie were
courted enough. Both were gorgeous, and seemed to gain an added
luster when together. Mikaela had since moved out of Tranquility, and
into a lovely two room flat in DC with Maggie. She attended the local
college in the Aesthetics program, and Maggie continued her
government job.
That wasn't to say that they didn't see the boys
often. Every month or so, Lennox, Glen, Sam and the bots would get
together and hang out. Mikaela would hang out with Sam sometimes, but
it was awkward. After all, The boy had felt more for his car than he
had for Mikaela.
But today wasn't about the boys. Wasn't about the
failed relationships. It was about sharing a strawberry shake and
rifling through grab bags from the accessory store and it was about
trying on clothes and fixing each others straps. It was about
driving in an open top convertible down main roads, ducking into all
the random side stores.
It was about making out softly against
the cereal aisle and holding hands between the racks of incense.
It
was about covert smiles whenever the boys stares or whistled. It was
about them. Because after all...
Who needs boys?
