This is called A Rose

Zuko went looking for that earthbender. He couldn't stop thinking about her.

He didn't know why he liked her. She was just an immature little kid, who didn't know anything about real life

But he respected her.

He didn't like Katara, who thought she was some tough waterbender, who could take on anyone even though Toph could kick her but anytime she wanted.

He didn't like Sokka, who just an annoying little brat, who thought he was better than anyone else.

He didn't like Aang. He was always bubbly and happy and refused to see bad in anyone.

But Toph was different, she wasn't like most girls. She was tough and rough and she wasn't afraid to tell you if there was something wrong with you.

She was blunt and he liked that.

She was royal, but you would never guess it. She could act like a true lady if she wanted to, but she never did and he liked her for Toph.

He wanted to give her something. He didn't know if she liked those kinds of things, but he wanted to give it to her.

He had searched for it for almost an hour. It was a perfect red rose, with soft pedals. It smelled like his mother in the summer.

He didn't know if she liked those kinds of things, but he wanted to give it to her.

He knew where she would be, but he still looked for her at the camp, where she trained Aang, and by the lake.

He knew where she would be and that was at the cliff. She was always sitting there, just gazing into the sky.

He often wondered what she was thinking about, but he never asked and when he swallowed his pride he went and sat next to her.

He walked on the winding path and through the steep sides to get there.

He wondered how she was able to do it. How she was able to find her way without falling.

He still couldn't walk about it without worrying he would fall and he could see what he was doing.

He stopped thinking about the sheer drop and thought about what Toph what say when she saw his flower.

He was frightened of her ability. When he had first met her they had had a battle. He had said something about her being a "defenseless blind girl."

She had then thrown him into a boulder and called him a fairy.

After that he knew of her ability, but he still watched out for and every morning they had there daily training.

They practiced thier bending together and she wasn't afraid of him or his firebending like Katara was.

For some reason whenever he came within three feet of Katara she always tensed up like he was going to attack her.

Then Aang came and screamed at him for scaring her. Then he went to Toph. She seemed like the only one he could talk to.

He told her of his fears and worries and she didn't laugh at him like Sokka would.

After about ten minutes of walking he finally came upon her. She was sitting on a patch of grass and her hair was lightly blowing in the wind.

The sun was setting and the reflection looked pretty against her unseeing gray eyes.

He walked up next to her and sat down. "Hi"

"Hi Zuko," she said sweetly, "I was just thinking."

"I brought you something,"

She looked at him confusedly with a small smirk playing across her lips.

He handed her the flower and a look of surprise came across her face.

"I thought you might like it. I thought it was pretty like you."

"Thank you. I didn't know anyone thought I was pretty."

She leaned over and kissed him gently on the lips. "And no one has ever given me a rose before."

Just like the rose, their love was blooming.

Please tell me what you think.
