I get home from my karate class, after dinner with the family and immediately kick back and fall onto the couch to rewatch the episode of supernatural as Cain gives Dean the Mark of Cain.

"I hate that he does that, it causes so much trouble for them, trying to get rid of it. I wish I could fix it without him getting the mark."

Suddenly all of my surroundings change, the walls of my house are no longer there, but replaced by trees. In front of me, where my TV was, was a house. A house I recognized; as Cain's house.

I was standing on the road leading up to it, the gravel moving under my feet. I looked down at my shoes, I was wearing my light green combat boots, they felt oddly comfortable. I looked back up at the house and could see what was going on. I watched as Dean and Crowley fought the demons running at them. I knew what came next.

In a burst of adrenaline I sprinted for the house. I ran through the broken door, surprising everyone in the house.

"Stop!" I yelled at them.

"Another bloody demon, I can handle this one Dean." Crowley said walking over to me, angel blade in hand.

"Not a demon, Crowley," I said his name with venom, "And even if you tried you couldn't take me." Crowley lunged at me with the blade, I easily dodged and began to fight him. Dean and Cain stood watching, the latter obviously annoyed by the whole deal.

"Sit Down!" Cain yelledand pushed both me and Crowley against the wall, forcing us to stop fighting. He walked over to me calmly.

"If you're not a demon, then what are you, child?" He held an angel blade to my throat, the sharp tip slightly scratching the skin.

"I'm human, Cain." He looked at me deeply.

"And why are you here?"

"I'm here because.." I paused, I didn't really have a reason for running to the house; I just knew I had to stop it. I knew Abaddon could only be defeated by the Mark of Cain and the first blade, but I didn't want Dean to go evil. "I'm here because I want to take the Mark of Cain instead of Dean.

"No!" Dean screamed from behind him.

"Shut up." Cain waved his hand and Dean was also pinned to the wall. Cain released me and I stood in front of him.

"Child, what is your name?"

"Alex."

"Alex, would you really be willing sacrifice yourself for Dean, to bear the mark of Cain and wield the first blade to kill Abbadon?"

"Yes, I would." I answered, trying to sound calm.

"A sacrifice so big for a man you haven't met? Only such a sacrifice is worthy of the mark. Remove your jacket." I tugged the right arm of my leather jacket off; the smooth texture somewhat calming. I held my hand out, knowing what happened next.

Cain grabbed my hand and began to squeeze it tightly. The veins in his arm turned red and began to glow. The light transferred from his arm to mine and formed the mark on my upper arm. I had it, the Mark of Cain.
