Chapter 1

I do not own inu yasha, only my own strange imagination.

My story is a strange one to myself and an even stranger one to others. It's most certainly not one's normal dinner conversation, but I suppose it all started in my sophomore year of high school. Well you see I was walking up to the lunch table where I and my bizarre variety of friends sit when I was struck by lightning inside the school. I'm sure by this point your thinking 'this wench is nuts'. Well I'm not and trust me it was stranger for me than it was for you. You weren't there one minute being struck by lightning and the next falling through the air at terminal velocity. Not fun.

I imagine this story is better told if we view it as I saw it. The only thought passing through my head at the realization that more than likely going to die was 'Well crap, what a way to go.' The list thing I can clearly remember seeing before the pressure got to my head was the earth rising to meet me and a flash of red.

I woke up to the sound of voices arguing. Mostly two voices. As soon as I realized I was conscious I kept my eyes shut and started to listen more closely as to get a better idea of my current condition. The first of the two I heard was a girl and I didn't imagine her being very tall because her voice sounded closer to the ground than the other voices. It was light and somewhat pleasant to listen too. The other voice was a boy's voice, slightly rough and throaty.

The boy started shouting "Look, Kagome, we have no idea who he is or where he's from! All we know is suddenly he was falling out of the air. What makes you think he's from your time anyways?" She huffed then replied "Well, he's dressed in the boy's uniform from the American exchange students from my school. That's proof enough!" I was sitting there trying to figure out who they were talking about and it took me a full minute to realize they were referring to me.

Let me explain, I'm from America, I'm also a red head, real red not orange, and I'm also really tall for a 16 year old, 5'11. So, to avoid all the constant teasing I decided to start dressing as a boy. Thus, where I got accepted into the student exchange program they mistook me for a boy and now anyone who hasn't asked thinks I am one. This saves me trouble so I just go with it.

I decided to make my awareness known, so I opened my eyes looked over at the two loud people and said "Well, this is akward."
