Cloud sat in the middle of a huge field splashed with an endless amount of delicate yellow flowers, his body still as a statue. He held a single flower in between his rough fingertips, stroking the petals mindlessly as his Mako eyes took in the sight of the field's splendor for nearly the hundredth time.

He hadn't been to the field in months, having been so busy with deliveries and putting effort and love into raising Marlene and Denzel. He was moving on, finally, after Aeris's death, and his depression he'd been riding high on for two years. Helping raise Marlene and Denzel appropriately was the first major step he'd taken since he'd encountered Aeris at the church and seen her sweet smile he'd been longing to behold ever since the moment her soul slipped away, and he let her delicate body drift into the waters of the Forgotten City.

He lie down, his eyelids fluttering shut over his blue orbs. He set the flower beside him and set his hand atop his chest, close to his mending heart.

'Aeris…'

As his mind replayed her smile, he felt a gentle warmth envelope him and opened his orbs to the familiar feeling. His entire world was blindingly white, which in turn made him involuntarily squint.

"It's been a while, Cloud."

Cloud felt his stomach churn as he turned around quickly, seeing Aeris standing behind him, smiling, clad in her pink attire. His heart nearly stopped, her beauty still astounding him.

"Aeris," he whispered, his lips turning up into a smile and his eyes swimming with emotion. She let out a small giggle as she stepped towards him and they embraced tightly.

He knew the final time he was graced with her smile wasn't the last time she'd make his heart skip a beat.

A/N: Yayy. Another drabble. This one was inspired by the song Boston by Augustana.I'm working on two fics, one of them will be posted before or a few days after Christmas. One is called Tryptophan, and it's about Cloud and Aeris having Christmas dinner together, and the other is called Sleepwalking, which is Cloud and Aeris's date and the stuff that you didn't see. I don't know when I'll be posting Sleepwalking, because I have to do some major editing, because I hate half of it already, and I have to type up from the game.

Alright. Review, guys. :3
