The Celestian Alliance, Ash, Brock, May, Max, and Mystery INC, were in Tokyo Japan for the Mirimoto Martial Arts contest. Kiki was going to compete in it. They read the instructions that have to meet Daniel LaRusso at the Hachiko statue. Betty Ann explained that Hachiko was a famous dog who waited for his master to returned, unfortunately, he died and the dog waited.
At the statue, they met an Italian-American boy named, "Daniel LaRusso" and his girlfriend, "Sakura Kasugano". They checked for Kiki's name and they were in. They headed off for an airplane and off to Mirimoto Island.
During the flight, they noticed that it was on autopilot, which was modern. Joy also told them that another Crystal Gem has been detected, "Wax on, Wax off, painting the fence, showering up and doing some defense." Joy said.
On the island, everyone changed into Japanese kimonos and Daniel showed them around. Daniel said, "Karate competition has competitors like Japan's Ryu, America's Ken, and China's Chun-Li."
Chun-Li was practicing her kicks until Brock came up lovestruck. "I love your dress Chun-li." Brock shouted, "Maybe we can kick a few kisses."
"You should kick your mouth away from her," Max said as he grabbed him.
Suddenly, a serious looking woman came in, she was Kelly Mirimoto" the owner of The Mirimoto Martial Arts Academy.
Miss. Mirimoto hoped that they have a wonderful time during the contest. Afterward, they noticed a man teaching students martial arts. "Wax on, Wax off, paint the fence, and sand the floors." The man said.
"Who's that?" Kiki asked.
"That is my master, "Kesuke Miyagi". He taught me everything." Daniel answered.
Daniel decided to test Kiki on her martial arts. Then she did it Blindfolded. She accidentally ran into the zen garden. As she removed her blindfold and found Tucker in The Zen garden painting the fence. "Mr. Miyagi said, "Paint the Fence"," Tucker explained as they saw a crab experiment in the garden.
Lilo recognized him as Experiment 297 a. k. a Shortstuff, the experiment that changes sizes.
Later Stitch, Angel, Sparky, Felix, and Sample were exploring the temple when they found a scroll. They took it to Mr. Miyagi. He recognized it as The map To The Sword of Doom.
"The Sword of Doom? What's that?" Betty Ann asked.
Mr. Miyagi told them the story of The Black Samurai. The Journey begin with a thousand steps. Daniel, Ryu, Chun-li, and Ken came with them. Mr. Miyagi stays here and helped out Miss. Mirimoto.
