So I'll run away to the hopes that I have
But still I fall asleep in the arms of my past
And when I wake so helpless and thinking of that
I just lay back down

They are perhaps the key ingredient in anything that we do.

Beginnings. They pretty much suck. I mean, if you screw them up in the slightest, you've blown the whole story. If you get off to the wrong foot your friendship is doomed. When you don't capitalize your sentence your whole paper wrong. You misplace one brick and the whole wall is crooked.

First impressions are the most difficult to erase, and though they can be hidden by years of avoidance and ignorance they will catch up with you.

They're tough, and imminently awkward, yet they are a simple necessity of life. With out them, we'd be stuck in the mud with no where to go. So we suck it up and take the beginning as it presents itself. You take your first steps and you are bound to fall, but someone helps you up and you are one your way. So maybe we endure a little bruising but we are over all fine.

But what about now necessarily starting new, but a sort of renewing beginning? Those are tricky because there's already a past there to work with, instead of it being your first step, it's your first leap.

In my own personal experience, the person looking to start this renewed beginning is usually no good. So my advice to you is to avoid them entirely because chances are they are only pretending to want to start over so you look foolish. If you are dealing with a person named James Potter, this is just the case.

Always trying to convince me he just wants a 'second chance', if there is such a thing. Second chances, are like breaking the rules, you can't go back and fix your test once you've handed it in, beginnings are for ever, first impressions never fade.

Messy, rude with out an excuse, kind of cute.

That was my first impression of James Potter. Nothing has really changed about that, it has only grown.

Annoying, slightly arrogant, exceedingly obnoxious.

Was my opinion by Third year.

The most egotistical, self absorbed, playing prat I've ever encountered.

That is my standing impression of him. He's always looking to get under my skin, like a persistent fly constantly buzzing around your head. No matter how many times you swat at it, you can never seem to shoo it away.

See how beginnings affect everything?

I was the only one to participate in our first potions class and Slughorn has worshipped me ever since, it's brilliant I'm telling you!

Beginnings are everything.

And so ends my beginning. : ) hope you enjoyed it, next chapter will be longer I promiseee. So noww you should all be REVEIWINGGGG. Right??? Haha. X3
