"Eve hurry and catch up!" Elsword called out. I sighed and followed him through the forest. 'Why did I let Elsword drag me along to the festival' I thought. He turned around and grabbed my hand. "Let's go!" he said smiling. He pulled me along and we rushed through the forest. When we stopped, I could tell we weren't on the festival grounds.
"Elsword, what-," I started. He clamped his hand over my mouth. My hand twitched.
"Shhh….Look," he whispered. He pointed in front of us. Little lights glowed in the dark.
"Fireflies," I whispered in a hushed voice. They floated around us. Shining like little El shards.
"They look pretty right? I knew you'd like them." I stared at the boy next to me. His eyes were shining like stars and he was grinning. This was the boy that helped me regain my emotions after I gained Code Battle Seraph. This was the boys that would make me smile. This was the boy I was in love with.
"Elsword-,"
"Eve-," We paused and looked at each other.
"You can go first," I said. I saw him hesitate before he stood up straight.
"Eveiloveyouwillyoubemygirlfriend?" he burst out.
"…..What?" I said. Even I couldn't decipher that….that….language? He sighed.
"Eve, I love you. Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked. He started blushing and he looked away real quick. I couldn't speak. '….WHAT!' "I mean I know you might not feel the same way and all with you being a Nasod…wait that's racist…Are Nasods a race? Anyway I just want you to know how I feel." I took a step towards him. He braced himself for my slap…..which never came. I hugged him and buried my face in his chest.
"Yes," I answered. I was blushing and I wanted to hide it. Elsword froze.
"…what?" he asked, looking down at me. I looked up at him and glared which I don't think worked well since I was blushing.
"I said yes now stop staring or I'll really slap you," I said. He quickly looked away.
"Sorry." And then I kissed him. Right on the cheek. I let go and started walking towards the festival grounds. He was standing there when I said, "Are you coming?"
He unfroze and ran toward me. "Wait up!"I smiled, sure that he couldn't see me. "I saw that," he smiled. "And all the other times too." Then I froze. Turned. And then slapped him.
